What Maslow was talking about was the FACTUAL aggridant. To find him, you have to do what the Marx Brothers did for "Animal Crackers." You have to use the scientific method. Let's say, just for an example, that Obama proves out over time to be an examplary leader in the Tzu or Maslow view. To increase knowledge, we have to OBSERVE rather than judge. What if the ability to observe is rooted in Kenya? How can you know that it's not?Orthomentorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07252848226717738684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5167597258775173550.post-44206106083902074852008-10-10T16:15:00.000+00:002008-10-10T16:15:00.000+00:00If you are referring to his only posthumous work I...If you are referring to his only posthumous work I have heard of "The Further Reaches of Human Nature" (I can't find any other evidence of the sort that there is any other posthumous writing he did.) He only promotes everyone has an innate quality to be "self-actualizing" by fulfilling all one's needs and that with synergy (everybody benefiting) we can all work together to reach a "eupsychia" peacefully. I have read the book and searched through google and have never even seen the idea promoting that you should kill others. If he had, it would be hypocritical of him to be calling out "compulsive-obsessive neurotics" displaying such low synergy as to want to kill. I think you should read "The Further Reaches of Human Nature" before saying such atrocities. I would like to share with you a quote I have hanging above my desk, in my college dorm where I'm studying to go to grad. school for psych., by one of Maslow's favorite "specimens," Albert Einstein, "Great spirits have always encountered violent oppositions from mediocre minds." I knew there are “schmeliels” just about everywhere, but some of you have taken Einstein’s quote to a new level by putting words in Maslow’s mouth trying to make people think differently of his work, seeming to me that your imaginary version of Maslow is the violent opposer of his own work.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5167597258775173550.post-3354766620927050352008-09-09T13:37:00.000+00:002008-09-09T13:37:00.000+00:00"When they become wrapped up in situations of seri..."When they become wrapped up in situations of serious stress, however, the schizoid’s failings cause them to collapse easily. The capacity for thought is thereupon characteristically stifled, and frequently the schizoids fall into reactive psychotic states so similar in appearance to schizophrenia that they lead to misdiagnoses."<BR/><BR/>Wow, sounds like me on a bad day. Hope no one things I'm a schizoid.. maybe I should end it now and do the race a favour?sasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04382408833970431137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5167597258775173550.post-7500200248099846602008-04-03T05:08:00.000+00:002008-04-03T05:08:00.000+00:00I enjoyed your words.
